what's an outing without at least one group picture? (: I think we are a bunch of creative and outgoing people (:
heehee (: you added much fun too (:
The past week was a great time spending with the wonderful group of people, a time of bonding and just having fun together. On Saturday we had the movie screening 'Wolverine', it was quite a nice show and there was even a synchronise moment! HAHA. Definitely hilarious.

On Friday we had a women's meeting and i think it was awesome as we women come together to share our hearts about certain issues openly. One of the things a leader must have in order to gain respect is strength. I think that it doesn't matter we are a leader in our field or we are not a leader at all, strength is one of the key factors in order to succeed. For woman, strength refers to the inner strength that she has. How not to be over-domineering but rather, to have the meekness found in strength and yet still able to be strong. No matter how talented we are, when we reach our limit we just could not go on, so one of the things that we can do is to stretch our limit, another word for it is ceiling (imagine at home, the maximum height we can go is the ceiling, so by exiting this ceiling, we are stretching ourselves and going beyond our limit so that we can accommodate more).

There are 5 aspects, namely the spiritual ceiling, mental ceiling, emotional ceiling, social ceiling and physical ceiling. I guess many of the women would agree that emotional ceiling is one of the aspects that they would like to stretch, myself included. In actual fact, if our mental health is weak, it will affect our emotional ceiling too. Some of us would consider talking about our problems to girlfriends or even to our partners, some would focus their energy on other things instead of thinking about the problems, some would like to blog about it, whatever it is, we all have some solutions to lighten our baggage.

Another aspect i can really relate to is social ceiling. Being a person with the love language of words of affirmation, sometimes i know i do feel unappreciated if there isn't approval on things i do. I guess i need to work on this area as words of affirmation should not govern my life. It's very true because when we go out to the workplace, superiors/ bosses and even colleagues may not say words to affirm us and by working on this area, it will help us very much in life. (:

I sort of laughed to myself when Zoe mentioned how do we know that we are experiencing burn out was when she mentioned 'need a holiday' as one of the factors. it's because over the past few weeks i kept saying that i wanna go on a holiday to dn but i guess i found another way to feed my soul, which is to go out and just have fun with my friends! It's really important to feed our soul by doing creative things or just simply doing the things that we like, perhaps like going shopping, movies or for myself, going for KTV (: basically, that was what was shared during the women's meeting (:

Also, I've started reading this book called 'The Last Lecture', I'm sure some of you have heard of it or have seen it when you're at the book store. It's about this man called Randy Pausch who only had months to live because there were 10 tumors in his liver, instead of thinking about dying each day, he talked about living. To be more specific, it was about living his childhood dreams, quite an interesting book i would say, i definitely will recommend it to everyone! (:

Today marks the start of the new semester and very soon, all my friends who are from NUS, NTU, SMU and SIM will be enjoying their holiday but i'll be studying, it's a mix of good and bad i guess. I'm just happy that i'm in the same class with a few of my friends (:

Last but definitely not the least, i just want to say.. that i'm really looking forward to july to come (:
