I've unofficially graduated, meaning that I'll be currently looking for a job to support my business, which i'll be doing it part time.

Even though it was bittersweet as in the part about leaving friends and not being able to see each other everyday in school. Nonetheless, I'm really excited about what i'm going to do and what i'll be achieving :)

i'm almost turbo-charged! woots!

You Are - Abundant Life Church

Love unfailing, truth unchanging
I depend on You
Faithful Father, peace forever
I will rest in You

Unshakeable my hope remains
Lord, I believe in You

You are the strength of those in need
You are defender of the weak
You are everything we need
You are our God, You are our God

God of mercy
I will live in praise of all You’ve done
God eternal
By Your power I will overcome

None greater, none higher
All praise to God our savior
Unchanging, unfailing
All praise to You our Savior

It's just the song that i need at this moment of time.

It's really the finals now, everyone is stressed, including me.. BUT GOD saves the day.

A yearly birthday has passed. Though not as many gifts as compared to when I was younger, I feel blessed indeed. Despite being in the midst of tight deadlines in school, friends took time off to buy presents for me.

One of the most memorable thing was the surprise by joyce and vann. I got bluffed into believing that vann went to the ladies.. And to my surprise, they handed me a F21 bag containing a _ _ _ _ _. LOL. Nonetheless, they are really sweet(:

Not forgetting the supporting group of friends that I've just made, wishing me success in my life (:

I'm especially touched when I receive hand-made cards. Thank you everyone (:

Memorable celebrations in July but all good things will come to an end, am looking forward to the next July (fav month of the entire year).

On a slight note, exams is next week and next next week I'll be officially finish with school! Am really excited to learn new things and to take up new challenges. :D

Saturday, July 24, 2010

The next phase of life is fast approaching. In less than a month, I'll officially be a graduate. Many of my friends mentioned that it's so fast and all and they, like me, can't wait to finish school. Honestly speaking, I'm not sure if I'll miss school or not but nonetheless, I'm sure the next chapter of my life will be full of challenges and it'll be interesting.

Throughout the entire month of July where I have on average 2 assignments/projects to complete, one hand I did complain about not having enough sleep and feeling tired; on the other hand, I can't be thankful enough to the support that I have from my loved ones. Support, even though it's merely on the moral side, matters a lot(to me at least).

On a side note,I'm hoping that Joyce will succeed in making the cake pops so that.... :p
Sarah and my grandma, they are 4 generations apart, yet spending time together. This is what i call, family time.

I think yesterday's cg sermon by jme came at the right time as i'm approaching the next phase of my life as a uni grad.

Career prospect is good and i'm hoping they'll implement the 5-day week soon because i defiitely wouldn't want to compromise on going for cgm and service on fridays and saturdays. Hopefully everything will turn out well.

Walking like the blind...

I was actually referring to the essay. Never have I felt so lost in doing an assignment, it's just so messy. I wanted to stay home to continue with my essay and just skip going for service but i still went in the end.

I felt that the word was really in season for many of us, for me as well. Being in the wilderness, a place of pressure,

I'm being reminded that everyone has to go through tests, not to be destroyed but to be built up.

I'm being reminded that wilderness is a preparation, not a destination as we are not destined to fail but to grow; it is a place that we pass through not a place we stay.

I'm being reminded that wilderness is a place of humbling, to know what is in our hearts, what we lack.

I'm being reminded that wilderness is a place of testing, a test of our faith.

Lastly, I'm being reminded that God knows how to control our situations and He will not give us too much that we cannot handle, that we will be destroyed but He wants us to have a new level of strength, to stand firm in the midst of adversity.

Thanks to all who have been so supportive towards me, you guys know who you are. <3

Glitz & Glamour 2010

I was really happy that most of my friends that i tried to psycho into going actually went! It was like a fashion show, seeing many of my friends dressed up, with makeup and hairdo(: Prior to the ball, i actually didn't had a good time calling for a cab from home, took me more than 20 minutes for one of the 8 taxi company to pick up my call. Cab took more than 7 minutes to arrive and after picking up Ryan, Joyce and Weimeng, we reached the hotel at 8pm odd. Cab fare was $38 but thankfully there were four of us (:

Here are some photos(:
I kinda miss hanging out with the bcom people, especially the guys, like Haely and Ryan. We all used to hang out together for lunch or even have a cheesecake or drink at TCC but due to clashing timetable, it has reduced greatly but im glad that the whole group fo bcom people came for the ball too (:

Here is Isabelle and Stacie with Joyce, Jingyi and me (: thanks isa for letting me try Eucerin so that i can compare it with Cetaphil (:

ohohoh! pretty chui mei came along too!
hahaha! the bbus girls with some exceptions :p
Left the ball after the last dish of our 3-course meal, rushed off to meet my fellow loved ones to be the surprise element of Ding Neng's early birthday celebration (: Thanks Jon Ong for taking the photo! you make him look handsome and me, beautiful (: It's less than 2 months!! jiayou my friends (:

Absent from blogging for almost a month now. It's the last 1 month plus of school. hmmm 1 months and 20 days to be exact. As much as i want to treasure these last few weeks in sch, it's draining to keep up with endless projects and assignments. This time round, it's not so much as of all the dead lines are cramped together but rather, it's one week after another week. Seems rather endless and it requires much stamina on each individual, including myself. As such, im really looking forward to 20th August 12pm, the day that i can decalre F.R.E.E.D.O.M. (at last)!

I'm really looking forward to the UON ball this coming Friday. I was quite excited to want to go for this event and kind of persuaded my cling of friends to go together as well :X So yays, we'll all dress up and be pretty and head down to the ball. Let's really enjoy ourselves before reality strikes :X

All the best to my friends and myself, for the LAST test (not exam) tomorrow. (:

P.S. Not forgetting, we were stuck in the lift for 20 odd minutes. LOL

Why do people write journals?
1. People write journals because they want to remember their lives. We are all living in a fast paced society with many events occurring in just a single day, be it significant ones or minor ones. Writing a journal pens down our daily lives, the things that we've learned, the people we met and have made an impact on our lives.

2. Writing journal expresses and records our thoughts and feelings. Personally, I find that I think more and am more reflective since I've started writing journal. Each day I'll pen down the most significant moment that I have and / or the lesson that I've learned in the day. Not just to increase the value of my journal, but hopefully, these stories will be shared with my children and grandchildren in the future(:

3. Have fun and be creative! It's your own journal! We can choose to be as creative as we want. For eg, writing in different colour pens (i used to have lots of them back in secondary school); printing out photos to capture the memorable moments; have a title page for each day! Additional advantage is that we can slowly build our right brain muscles ;)

4. learn from our own experiences! As one of the famous sayings from my beloved friend's blog, 'Life is a journey, I'm the traveller'. We should treasure the journey and as we travel, there are bound to be things that we've done excellently and things that we did which had upset someone that we love. Gaining life experiences is indeed valuable.

Let's all take some time to write! (:

Wednesday, April 14, 2010

This is a journal.

What exactly is it? Well it's a record of the daily events or business. Some people call it a diary. Note the word, daily (definitely takes some discipline to write in it everyday, don't you think so?)

Well, when i was younger, I used to keep diaries but i didn't write in it every single day. Right now, I've started writing again, almost a week now. I feel that everyone should take up this challenge! (:

So, after know what a journal is, why do people write journals? How do they do it? Who writes journals? To whom is this journal written? When and where do people write journals?

Find out in the following updates! Cheers to my readers(:

I need to start studying! I am going to start in the morning of 2nd April. It must have been due to the busyness of March that I didn't even realise that exam was less than a month away! Jiayou everyone =]

Monday, March 22, 2010

Found this photo on google images and it kind of reminded me of something that i took 4 years ago...i took this 4 years ago...and 4 years later, i saw this quote..." Life has no limitations, except the ones you make."~Les Brown
Besides capturing the height of the building (which is just a normal HDB flat), it has never come to my mind that there's another story behind the picture, which depicts that the sky is the limit. However, many a times, we find that there are obstacles blocking our paths- the path that leads to our success; the path of fulfilling our dreams; the path of fulfilling our destiny, this is none other than the very famous glass ceiling.
Look how beautiful it is outside of the glass ceiling? If there's a glass ceiling, how do we break it? And how many times when the glass ceiling welcomes you, do you welcome it as well and let it hover your life and prevent you from breaking through ?

Are you one who let glass ceiling limits you, where you can see your visions but not achieving it? Or are you one who find means and way to break the glass so you can continue to fulfill your life's greatest dream? you decide.

Saturday, March 06, 2010

Blogging on my way to Novena on an early Saturday morning. I realised that when I get busy with school work, I'm also tied down with other personal has been stressful enough and I apologise if I've snapped at whoever.

Seriously I can't wait for the month of March to be over, someetimes I feel as if I'm just hanging by the thread and once the thread snaps...

Thanks to all who have been by my side, like my parents, the bf,my spiritual family and my friends in school especially joyce, shereen and allison(:

Read the bible on my way to school yesterday morning and saw this verse..Deut1:29-31Deut 1:29-31 “Then I said to you, ‘Do not be terrified, or afraid of them. The Lord your God, who goes before you, He will fight for you, according to all He did for you in Egypt before your eyes, and in the wilderness where you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a man carries his son, in all the way that you went until you came to this place.’ it really reminded me that God is ALWAYS with me and He will not give me any battles that I can't win,as stress as I get, I'm believing God that I am able to survive this month.

1 in 4 people suffers from depression, I hope I'm not one of them.hahaha

At this juncture of my life, I'm feeling really blessed.
I'm blessed with...
- a happy and healthy family with the first of the 4th generation born last year
- a boyfriend that's irreplaceable
- friends who truly care for me
- an apartment that's bigger than most of my relatives
- financial security from my parents as they get blessed and i get blessed indirectly as well
- a grandma who scolds me for not calling her when im taking a taxi so she can have a ride
and the list goes on....

This Chinese new year is one that I really experience how much God has blessed me with, be it big ones or small ones.. (:

Flying out of Singapore in a few hours time, this week was a moderately stressed week with politics essay due but luckily the date on Thursday became my motivation to complete my essay because I really really really want to enjoy Thursday! In the end, I forced myself to do the essay and managed to complete it by Wednesday(:

Due to Valentine's day, I gave my friends some edible blessings, I'm glad that all of them like it!

Thursday came and I really enjoyed myself with love, talked, eat, watch movie and talked somemore (: Tomorrow marks the one year of something happened, the feeling was really miraclous, this somehow motivated me to give my best during the two building funds that's coming up!

Though I won't be celebrating CNY and Valentine's day this year in Singapore, just wanna wish everyone out there to enjoy the special with your family and loved ones! Happy Chinese New Year and Happy Valentine's day (:

One of the sweetest day ever (:

Sunday, February 07, 2010

I saw this quote "Nothing is perfect if judgment is present. Everything is perfect when u let go - this is how you see with the eyes of love."

How many times have we been judgmental towards others just because they are different? I'm sure many of us are guilty of that, well including myself actually. I came across this quote and wanted to share with all you guys here, that well, in fact nothing in this world is perfect as we have all been saying this for many times. How about extending the phrase 'nothing in this world is perfect' to 'nothing in this world is perfect if judgment is present'?

Personally, what I like about this quote is that if we look at the things around us with the eyes of love, we'll begin to see how wonderful everything is.

If we begin to see the things around us like our family, our friends, our relationship with the eyes of love, how wonderful will this place be! :D

candles+individual appreciation from each of you+song item
(i was close to tears)

What a special way of appreciating me! I'm truly madly deeply touched by each and everyone of you guys, not sure who planned it though but I was really touched beyond words!

Individual appreciation is like words of encouragement, which is my primary love language, makes me feels sooo soooo loved :D Especially hearing those words from people whom I'm not very close to as compared to the rest, thanks for taking the courage to speak those words out. haha :D

Thanks janet and victor for the stuffed penguin key chain :D
Thanks cia-ee for the card despite your busy schedules :D
Thanks zoe for the most creative gift ever :D

Thanks my family for taking the effort to do this!
*hearts to all of ya :D

Long entry ahead!

The first month of a brand new year is coming to an end! I've met up with various wonderful people.

1. SCB reunion

To welcome Amanda's comeback (though she has been back for more than a month), I helped to organise a dinner specially for her! Here's a photo of MVPS (Muffin Vodka Pumpkin Strawberry) unite! MVPS is the initials of us =]

Headed to tampines 1's rooftop garden for self-timed shots and boy was it fun! There are many more photos at my facebook, feel free to check them out!(: Haven't met them for such a long time, all of us (the girls) still think that Kevin (the guy wearing checkered shirt) is still VERY quiet!!
2. Ippudo & Wild Honey with lovelies

I love to hang out with these two girls! One is a driver who loves to entertain others :p and the other is an irritating but yet sweet girl. Not sure how they think of me though :p It's all the different places that we went to made me a foodie person just like them. The evidence of 'who you hang out with is who you become'. I can be crazy like Jael and sweet but yet not as irritating as Joyce :p I really treasure the both of you and I'm glad there's an openness of communication, we will go a long way (:

I'm sure many of our friends would agree that school without Jael is so much quieter and it takes weeks for us to get adjusted to that. Honestly, i do miss you in school soooooo much. So do Joyce I'm sure.

evidence of being bullied :(

3. A visit to Ms Loh's

After graduating from JC, I hardly ever met up with the rest of my classmates and of course, Ms Loh. This is her 2nd baby, 3 months old Nicole! She's such a cutie :D There were still some issues left unsettled from the past but we do have one common goal and that's to visit Ms Loh, so putting the differences aside, we gathered some $ to buy a gift for Nicole. Thanks to Ms Loh's hubby for sending us to the bus stop :D

ning wants to hold her...
so does loo...and
of course... me!
4. Wei's 21st birthday surprise at 12mn!

This is one of the most exciting event that took place in the month of January. I met up with (@_@) earlier to get the cake and other materials for the surprise. When I arrived at the MRT station I looked for (@_@) and guess what! WEI JUST WALKED PAST ME WITHOUT NOTICING ME! That got me overly excited as I ran towards (@_@) to tell her what happened. hahaha. It was hilarious really. the blur girl also got conned by didi when didi bluffed her about having a friend that live at the same block on level 2, she came up with a story that her 'friend' wants to make friends with her and wei was convinced by the story and told didi which level her house was at. :p

As u can see, here's linette and (@_@) checking out wei's house, just to make sure that we didn't get it wrong.
(@_@) and me with the newly self-decorated mango mousse cake. the cake was really cui when we opened it hence.. the decoration :p
We hid ourselves at the staircase area which was only 2-3 units away from her place. Each time a balloon burst we wanted to laugh and we had to control our laughter in order not to be discovered by wei and also not to disturb other neighbours around. So here are the 21 balloons and the special card made by (@_@) (:
few minutes before midnight, linette was getting ready to knock on wei's door. She even spy on her family when they sang the birthday song for her. When the clock strikes 12, linette knocked on the door and the FIRST thing that wei said was 'ohmygosh! let me change first! i look so cui!!' LOL !

her mum was so nice to let us in at 12 plus and she even took photos for us :D Even though we kinda got scolded by a 10th floor neighbour for bursting balloons and laughing loudly, we enjoyed ourselves very much!
Thank wei's mama for the hospitality and for even staying up to joke and talk to us! We even get to eat their cake (instead of eating the one that we bought) :p Thanks didi for sending us home (:
5. The BIG day!

It's my honour to be the bridesmaid together with Su An for Ding Neng's brother's wedding! It was really fun blocking the guys from coming into the house :p
Great pastries done by Auntie Winnie and yummy food for the lunch buffet(:

After lunch it was phototaking at Pan Pacific! We enjoyed ourselves very much though the weather was really hot. At least it's a good weather (:

darling and me :D
Su An and me at the dinner banquet! (: I got to know her in primary school when we played zero point together during recess. HAHA. It's great to be even more bonded with her and I'm sure God sees the desire of your heart, you are not fighting this alone (:
great couple! :D
thanks jme n cia for taking time off to attend this wedding as well ! :D And mummy dearest for helping with my hair and being your best to mingle around with the guests at the table you were at (:

tpjc choir unites with the newly-weds! (: Congratulations to Nic and Xiao Yan :D A simple example of sacrificing for love. 6. Jing Yi's 22nd birthday celebration
Last but definitely not least, we celebrated Jing Yi's birthday in school today! Thanks for being such a sweet girl and I hope you've enjoyed your special day!(:

This weekend will mark the end of January and I will make sure I end it with a BANG!

Cheerios everyone (:

It was the start of advanced worship dynamics II, this is the fourth term i'm there! Time really flies... I was really excited because I was going to see Jasmine (previous coach) again! But lo and behold, Theophilus came into the class with Jasmine and we were told that she will be handing the class to him. Honestly, I was a little disappointed because i was really really really looking forward to Jasmine's class and I'm really inspired by her testimony that she shared during the previous term. I also felt that she was the BEST coach I've come across so far! Oh well, I've went to Theophilus' class previously during some of my make-up classes, he's not bad as well. A guy in his early 20s, pursuing a degree in SMU, working part time at believer music, his stories are inspiring too!

10 dynamics weeks to come! (:

P.S. I'm glad I'm not the youngest in the class :p

For all my milk lover friends, as much as how milk is claim to be healthy ever since we are young, there are potential dangers to it.

Studies show that there's a link between cancer n dietary hormones and drinking milk might increase our chances of getting cancer. It's better to go for skim milk to prevent overly high levels of oestrogen.

Drinking milk contributes to high cholesterol. It is due to the saturated fat in milk (full-cream milk especially), which causes high blood cholesterol. Opt for soy milk which has no saturated fat and its fat content is half of that of whole milk!

Lastly, there might be a link between Crohn's disease and drinking milk.

So what is Crohn's disease? It is an inflammatory bowel disease, the general name for diseases that cause swelling in the intestines. This is because the symptoms of Crohn’s disease are similar to other intestinal disorders, such as irritable bowel syndrome and ulcerative colitis, it can be difficult to diagnose. Ulcerative colitis causes inflammation and ulcers in the top layer of the lining of the large intestine. In Crohn’s disease, all layers of the intestine may be involved, and normal healthy bowel can be found between sections of diseased bowel.

This disease has been linked to a bacteria that resides in the pus of cow's milk!!

hope this has been informative for all of u(:

one's priority may be different from another. So one big mistake a person can make is trying to force your priority onto someone else's.

never never do that.

How great is it to spend the 2nd day of a brand new year with my destiny partners and the family of E441! I really miss church here in Singapore and I was just telling cia that nothing beats being in the House of God. As I was praising and worshipping God, I felt His love encompassing all around me even though it was in hall 1. I'm glad that I went for the prayer meeting before svc just to get prayed up! As I was worshipping, tears rolled down from my eyes as I thought back how God has been always faithful to me and brought me through 2009 into a brand new year. I'm really thankful. I just feel so blessed to be in the best church (in my opinion) in the whole of Asia.

What Pastor preached was really relevant. Our God is a God of new things and we shouldn't hold on to our past victories and past failures, we should indeed, look ahead into the future! It really spoke to me (: I'm gonna set my goals for this year soon, in fact by the end of next Sunday my goals for this year must be done. Thanks DN for being my motivation to set goals (:

Dinner was great, with Francis being THE man. LOL. I'm sure everyone who was at the table would agree. hahaha. Just some photos to sum up the night! Thanks to cia-ee <3 I'm glad to u like the cardigan! And thanks Jamie for the pretty lotion allllll the way from US :D

Here's how matching cia's bag is with DN's polo tee. LOL.
Cheers to a great Sunday! Let's enjoy before the new school term starts (:

Saturday, January 02, 2010

Hello 2010! Here's a quick update about the last month of 2009!

First up, it was HK trip with my family and DN :D
Christmas decorations outside Times Square with SO many penguins :D
Carrying such a small baby for the first time in my life!
Sarah receives my Christmas present :D

Taking a look at who's taking photo of her :p
Sarah sound asleep :D
This is for Jamie : the BEST salmon i've eaten! :D
Christmas was spent at Hong Kong annual food fair, it was a crazy Christmas squeezing with thousands of people in the hall. Came across WD-40 and decided to take a photo in remembrance of my Consumer Behaviour group project :D
Headed to Kowloon Park next! I haven't been there ever since i turn 1 year old! A breezy evening and a great place to stroll!

We decided to head to one of the outlying islands of Hong Kong - Lamma Island for the 2nd time! It's only 20 minutes by ferry(: The purpose was to eat the BEST (as in literally THE BEST) tauhui in Hong Kong! And probably none other famous tauhui stores in Singapore can beat it. I even took photo with the store owner :D

Had the chance to meet up with DN's friends in Hong Kong too ! It was a great night spent :D What's greater is that these 10 days, we fell in love deeper with each other :D

Spent an hour at the SilverKris Lounge at the HK airport with Daddy and had cup noodles. LOL. The place looks really posh and it's so comfortable with big Plasma TVs and free food and drinks! Oh yes and free Internet Wi-Fi too! :D

THE moment i touched down I went to meet the two lovely girls and head down to Clarity for our FAVVVVVV-ourite cheese fries! :D

here's a picture of (@_@) and....
me and kangaroo! :D
Met up with cia-ee the following day to catch up + Alvin & the Chipmunks 2 + yummy bubble tea!! :D Here's a photo of the snacks we brought into the cinema :p
Well well well... i must say New Year's Eve was quite out of the norm for me but i did enjoyed myself :D DN's cooking lunch! :D:D:D:D:D Swam 10 laps to usher in the new year + dinner at a village and countdown at his place.
First day of the new year! Had Thai buffet with DN's friends and cash studio at Cuppage! It was a fun fun fun day! :D
Few more days till the start of tri110, heading the metro sale later on! YAY! :D

Happy 2010 everyone! May this year be the year where goals are achieved and may be all grow as a person!
